On 27 April 2025, the Landmark Events Centre in Lagos came alive as The Headies celebrated Nigeria’s music industry. Hosted by Nancy Isime, the evening honoured talent, stories and songs that connected deeply with listeners.
Chike’s “Egwu” made waves, claiming Viewers’ Choice Awards of the Year and Best Music Video. The song’s emotional depth resonated strongly, and the presence of the late Mohbad added further weight. Mohbad, remembered fondly, also won Best Street-Hop Artiste for “Ask About Me”.
Rema’s “Heis” earned Album of the Year, marking a defining moment. The night blended celebration and reflection.
